Claude Skills for Media Buyers

What Claude Skills are and four concrete ways media buyers are using them to move faster — from reporting summaries to campaign QA.

A Claude Skill is a packaged, reusable instruction set — a folder of prompts, examples and reference files — that you hand to Claude so it repeats a task the same reliable way every time, instead of you re-explaining context in every chat. For media buyers, that means turning the workflows you already do by hand (and by memory) into something you can trigger in seconds.

Four ways media buyers use them

1. Reporting summaries

Feed a skill your raw export from Meta, Google or TikTok and it returns a client-ready summary: spend, ROAS, top and bottom performers, and a plain-English "what changed this week" — in your account's voice, every time.

2. Creative angle ideation

Point a skill at your best-performing hooks and offers, and it generates new angle variations grounded in what's already worked — not generic ad copy, but options that match your account's tone and past winners.

3. Campaign QA checklists

Before you launch, a skill can walk a campaign against your standard checklist — UTM parameters, pixel events, budget caps, audience overlap — and flag anything missing before it costs you a day of bad data.

4. Naming-convention enforcement

Paste in a batch of campaign, ad set and ad names and a skill will rewrite anything that breaks your naming convention, so your reporting stays parseable as the account scales past one person.

How to get startedStart with one workflow you repeat every week — reporting is usually the easiest win. Write down the exact steps you take and the format you want out, turn that into a skill, and run it for two weeks before adding a second one.
